Upgrade to SAP BI 4.3 - SAP BI 4.3 became available this summer, so it is high time you planned your upgrade. Upgrading to 4.3 gives you the following extra benefits:
- New and improved user experience thanks to the Fiori Launchpad.
- Web Intelligence reports are now “Mobile and touch ready”.
- Java is no longer required as report development takes place through the Fiori Launchpad.
- Reuse of Web Intelligence documents as new data source for both SAC and new Webi reports.
- This means closer integration with SAP Analytics Cloud, but also new features for the Live universe connection to SAC.
- 64-bit clients (Information Design Tool, We Intelligence Rich Client, etc.)
The SAP Business Object 4.3 version has at least 7 years support in accordance with the SAP standard, alongside the regular release of service packs with new functionalities. You can instantly upgrade from version 4.x on the same server. Alternatively opt for a new server if you want to run less risk, or opt for a new operating system, for example Microsoft Azure.
